She got a 'J' tattoo paying tribute to her then-husband Joe Manganiello during their relationship.

But now that the couple are no longer together, Sofia Vergara has had to give new meaning to the wrist tattoo.

During an appearance on The Talk, Sofia, 51, humorously revealed the tattoo is now a nod to her new boyfriend, Dr. Justin Saliman - who also has a 'J' initial.

'This was Joe Manganiello's initial but now he's gone,' she said to laughter. 'How lucky can I be that the guy that I'm going out has the same initial. The new guy,' she added. 'Recycle! Recycle!'

Her son, Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, 32, who was also appearing on the show with his mother, pointed out his father Joe Gonzalez has the same initial.

'By the way, my father's name also starts with a J,' her son chimed in, referencing Sofia's first husband.

Vergara split from Joe last year and they finalized their divorce this year - and last year, she admitted that their break up was due, at least in part, to the fact that he wanted children, while she did not.

In a candid interview with People, the actress shared her true thoughts on motherhood, explaining that during her marriage to Magic Mike star Joe, 47, it never felt like the right time for them to have a child.

'There's things in life that might sound like good ideas, but they're not,' she explained in the digital issue of People.

'I was a mother already,' she said, referring to her son Manolo.

'I know what it means to be a good mother or to try to be the best mother that you can, and that takes a lot of sacrifices, takes a lot of energy,' she shared, before explaining that she didn't believe she was capable of doing that again at a certain point in her life.

'I totally respect where anyone wants to be a mom after 50. I didn't think because of my career, the way I live my life, the way my marriage was, that it was fair to bring a kid to this world, and I'm not going to be able to give 100 per cent.'

Since October 2023, she has been dating her new beau Dr Justin Saliman.

According to his website, Saliman is the inventor of the Novo Stitch Pro Meniscal Repair system, which allows a surgeon to repair meniscus tears rather than remove the damaged area.

While the actress has been very coy about how serious they are, during her interview with People she did allow that they were 'maybe' an item.

'I think now that I'm older, it's great because you know exactly what you like,' the actress said about finding love after divorcing Joe last year.

'I just do what makes me feel confident and beautiful,' she said about being a single woman over 50 in Hollywood.
